All Clinical Hours for our Online Courses will be held in person in the Greater Bakersfield Area.


Must have a passing grade of 75% or higher to be eligible to take the California State Exam for licensure as a Nurse Assistant.

 

Required Online Coursework


Nurse aides are responsible for helping patients with activities of daily living, assisting with personal hygiene, maintaining a safe, clean environment, and communicating vital health information about a patient’s condition to other medical staff who supervise their work.


Students in this program should expect to attend 60 hours of interactive lectures via Zoom, frequent homework assignments, individual projects, and case presentations. Student should be prepared to attend all 100 clinical hours in person



Course Prerequisites

  •  Be at least 18 years old.
  •  Government-issued photo ID
  •  Social Security Card
  •  High school completion or GED equivalent.
  • Student program application
  • Entrance Exam
  • Live Scan Clearance
  • Drug Screen
  • Physical – within 6 months before program starts. 
  • No lifting restrictions.
  • Current TB test (negative) or Chest X-Ray if TB test is positive.
  • COVID 19 Vaccination – Per CDPH Guidelines

Students are able to withdraw by the 3rd day of classes for a $150 fee.

To use our online systems, a student must have a computer with the following:


  • 2 GHz processor or faster
  • High-speed internet connection with minimum upload and download speeds of 3 Mbps
  • 2 GB RAM or greater
  • 32 GB system storage or larger
  • Built-in or external speakers (Hard-wired or Bluetooth speakers are acceptable)


Supported Operating System(s)


  • Any computer manufactured within the last 10 years will be able to access our learning management system
  • Android and iPhone users can assess the learning management system via an app
  • Latest version of Google Chrome

  • Interface: USB 2.0
  • Focus: Automatic or Manual
  • Microphone: Integrated microphone
  • Minimum Resolution: HD 720p
  • Video must be on throughout class time with exception to class breaks
  • Students must mute and turn off camera on scheduled breaks
